You, Me and Us.

As a civilization, we the human kind have experienced a myriad of events, episodes, disasters and drama. And at the crux of it all, we always find the urge to blame someone or something for our downfalls. On the contrary, we like to award and reward ourselves for all the “good things” that have happened, and will happen to us.We have made it obligatory upon us to ostentatiously do good and gloat with self appraisal rather than be appreciated by others for the good we truly may have done.

Al Hajweri mentions that;

“When the Ego is annihilated, Worship becomes a sustenance. Just as it sustains the Angels”

The question comes in; Where does this “ego” factor come from?

History has always been divided into two major mindsets; the Religious versus the Non-Religious (or, rebellious as some would say). But before we go into any further detail, What does being “Religious” mean?

The faction of Religion has been maimed with the onset of Communism and Socialism. All the “bad guys” have been portrayed as either “Religious” or “Hard core” to their ideologies, such that they would kill for their ideology. Surprisingly, Secularism, Socialism, Communism and even Scientology can get away with the idea of being “Hard core”.

By definition, Religion is

“the philosophy of Life taught by “Representatives” or “Prophets” through time, by the Decree of the Most Supreme.”

Life; in itself embodies the physical, emotional and spiritual realms we experience. The Decree sent was pretty basic. Be respectful of one another, Care for each other, Love the living around you, Be kind, Be generous when you give, No bloodshed, No lies, No naughtiness…..and so on. Which is pretty much what ALL parents teach their children from the 6th month onwards! How is it that, we refuse to appreciate the Divine Being who Taught us the same manners in the first place.

When Al Hajweri talked about the Ego, he didn’t mean the idea of narcissism, but the truth of the matter is that Life in itself was “Designed” and “Implemented” by Allah, also known to you as God, Khuda, Ohm…..etc, as named by different groups of thought. Then as a disrespectful child, who storms out of the room while you are talking to them and slams the door at you; Our Ego has led us to believe that Life is but by Chance. Just like this rebellious child, we have defiantly placed a deaf ear and blind eye at the evident reality of a Creator who blessed us with the every day miracles around us.

When Al Hajweri speaks of “Ego”, he did not point at the “self appraisal” and “Self centered” attitudes of us, but in all reality, the idea of being Ungrateful and Unappreciative of the many many blessings surrounding you, and being overcome with this false mindset that “I worked for it” or “I was Lucky” has in return made the human mind come to believe that They are Supreme in their own entirety – Egoistic.

Today we have come to the gutters of humanity; our minds desensitized to the numerous atrocities happening everyday right before our eyes, and we do not even care to twitch. I think I am the Supreme being and my neighbor thinks the same, so when I run my tires over his front lawn to park at my porch, our fight lasts till we live together……and even down the road, if I see him somewhere, perhaps after 30 years, I would still punch him in the face. Ego has refuted the idea of “Forgiveness” “Kindness” “Soft speech” and “Compassion” from our hearts.

The same Ego has caused numerous societal plagues in the world today.It has caused many generations to go waste. Many beautiful minds have been diminished and beautiful people been lost.

The day when we Annihilate our Egos, shall be the day when we See things as blessings, and appreciate the True Creator, by testifying His Glory. We will see people as family of the same species and we shall respect every man as a brother, father and woman as a sister and mother. We will love every child as that of our own, and then, the world be a better place to live.

Religion is nothing but annihilation of the EGO.
